Ingredients
16-20Chicken Wings
1TBSPOlive Oil
1tspSalt
½tspBlack Pepper
¾cupHarissa Sauce
¼cupHoisin Sauce
2TBSPRice Vinegar
Sesame Seeds
Green Onions
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
Pat the chicken wings dry and add them to a bowl. Add the olive oil, salt and pepper and gently toss to coat the wings.
Place the chicken wings in the basket of the air fryer so that they lay in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes.
While the chicken wings are cooking, in a bowl whisk together the Harissa sauce, Hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. In a small bowl add about 1/2 cup of the wing sauce, you will use this first. Set aside the rest of the sauce until the end.
After 8 minutes, pop out the air fryer basket, using the wing sauce in the smaller bowl, brush on the wing sauce to cover the wings. Flip the wings and brush on the wing sauce until coated. Discard any leftover sauce from the small bowl that you had used because may have been contaminated from the undercooked chicken.
Place the chicken wings back into the air fryer and cook for another 8 minutes at 400F.
Remove from the air fryer and toss in the remainder wing sauce.
Top the sweet and spicy harissa wings with a light sprinkle of sesame seeds and some thinly chopped scallion green-ends.
