Cheeseburger Pasta is the meal of all comfort meals – it will never disappoint on a long busy day. A cheeseburger to me is what I seek out on the good days, bad days, busy days, easy days. It’s a reliable old friend that feels like home, now combined with pasta! The warm, saucy dish is a perfect one-pot weeknight dinner.
The Cheeseburger Pasta Sauce
It is a saucy combination of all the toppings of a good classic cheeseburger. Sharp cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, a squirt of tangy yellow mustard with a few shakes of seasoning and you have the best cheese-y pasta sauce. It tastes like that delicious middle-bite of the cheeseburger. It is gold.

The Pasta
You can use any short pasta for this dish. The recipe used Trader Joe’s Gigli in other stores it can be called Campanelle. You can use Penne, Elbow Macaroni, Farfalle, or Bow Ties. The pasta is cooked in the same pot as everything else. The starch of the pasta will thicken the sauce making it coat the noodles for a perfect bite every time.
One-Pot Meals
One-pot meals are the best, with layers of flavor and easy to clean. Each one step is a stepping stone for the next. Create the first layer – the hamburger layer by browning the ground beef and sautéing the onion. Add in the mustard, herbs and tomatoes to create the classic cheeseburger topping cheese sauce. Stir in the pasta makes the dish!
