These pretzel Nutella chocolate chip cookies are a quick way to level up those grocery store break-apart cookies we all love. Crunchy, salty, nutty and sweet. They are ridiculously easy to make and dangerously delicious.
With three simple ingredients and 15 minutes, you can make these in a pinch when you need cookies. No measuring ingredients, no dough chill time, no scooping onto the cookie sheet, four quick steps stand between you and this sweet treat.
Although this is not a true made-from-scratch homemade cookie recipe, which if you’ve looked, I do not post those because they are outside my wheelhouse, this is still an incredible fun idea. So easy to do when the craving hits.
Store Bought Break Apart Cookies
There are a variety of chocolate chip break-apart cookie options, choose your favorite. I picked a package with 12 large chocolate chip cookies. The break-apart option requires the least amount of work, but if you want to use the cut-a-cookie tube or scoop out of the cookie dough tub, that will work too!
Bake the cookies accordingly to the back of the package. When they come out of the oven, while they cook down on the cookie sheet, you will want to use a spoon to make a little indent in the middle. Add the Nutella and the salted pretzels.
How to Store the Pretzel Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies
To have the Nutella set, place in a food-safe container and store in the refrigerator. Do not stack, they will stick together. The Nutella will set in the refrigerator and the cookie still stays soft and chewy.
Scoop on Vanilla Ice Cream
To make the most dreamiest sweet treat, while warm, serve with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream.
If you have to reheat the cookies, place in a microwave safe bowl and reheat for 20-30 seconds. This will warm up the Nutella chocolate chip cookie to the perfect texture. The Nutella will soften up and the chocolate chips will slightly melt for the most satisfying sweet treat dessert.
