The weekend is coming which means rosé all day! Let’s change it up! Sipping a cold sparkling lavender lemonade cocktail is a real game changer. This sweet, dry, crisp bubbly is you new happy hour drink. It’s pretty to boot too!
The Sparkling:
Bubbles – you can make bubbles a couple different ways. I prefer the sparkling rosé option. I used a can of nitro rosé I grabbed out of an impulse bin at the grocery story. If you ask me, best impulse buy in a long time (see photo below). You can also you sparkling white wine, club soda or sparkling water.
The Lavender:
Lavender – is such a special unique flavor that easily adds a little extra touch. As part of the mint family, lavender adds a nice semi-sweet minty herbal floral flavor that pairs well with lemonade.
If you use only lavender flowers, you will have more aromatics than flavor, if you dry the flowers and then crush them it will give you a mild lavender taste.
To spice it up more, you can use edible lavender essential oils or use an extract. I came across a lavender extract paste that had a “new” tag on it in the store, I love it (see picture).
